This is the second cookbook from Yasuji and Fumi Hisai at Coffee Pen in Auckland, produced after the success of their first cookbook Pen in 2020. It features recipes based on café favourites like wagyu beef and mozzarella pie, eggplant ricotta veg lasagne and matcha cheesecake. Alongside the recipes are illustrations by Fumi and more on Pen’s story by Yasuji.

This is such a sweet and sincere cookbook from a truly community minded cafe.
